If you've never been to Wildwood Haven Resort, I'm excited to welcome you and this post is here to help you decide on which site will suit you and your group the best. If you already chose a site and feel, after reading this, another one might suit you better, no worries, just email me and we'll get you switched - of course, if the new site is available.
Consider what you need for your RV or for your group and step through the list of questions to make sure you get the site you want to make your Northwoods Vacation the best it can be.
Questions to ask yourself to help choose your site:
Do you need electric?
Well, in today's world, the most likely answer is "yes". So no worries, we have electric on most of our sites - site 19 is the only one currently without power and is strictly a tent site.
Typically our tent sites have 20amp/120v standard US plug ins.
Our RV sites vary by loop, meaning our Lake Loop only has 30 amp and this is a 30amp style plug in, nothing else. While out North Loop has upgraded electric peds that have 50/30/20 amp plug ins and can accomondate all US standard RV plug ins.

If you're visiting with an EV, you'll need to book a site in the North Loop. If you're traveling with an EV and a trailer that needs to be plugged in, you'll have to reserve a site for your EV and a seperate site for your trailer, so that both are not drawing electric off the same ped - for safety.
Do you need water?
All our sites have water, with the exception of tent sites 6,7 &13. No worries, water is available here if it's not on your site. We have a few spigots spread through the camp and water is always available near our bath house and outhouse. All our water is safe to drink. It is tested each year by Ashland County Health and we have passed every year. Backflow preventers are on the end of every spigot to keep our well safe from contaminants. Please do not remove this protection.

Do you need sewer hookups?
If yes, you'll have to find another campground. We do not offer full hookups at this time but we do have water and electric on some sites and a dump station if you need it.

Do you have to be on the lake?
If yes, chose sites 1-5. Sites 1-3 have the most unobstructed views.
Any site in our lake loop has partial lake views and you're lways a short walk to our piers, boat launch and beach anywhere you choose to camp. I personally think site 12 has a great firepit location for lake sunsets views. However, our best site in the whole campground is site 1, it's a pull-thru setup, where your door opens to lake views - not your neighbor's trailer. It's a really great site.

Would you like a pull-thru site?
If yes, chose site 1 (the only lake side pull-thru) or sites 14-17 in our North Loop.

Do you need to be close to a bathroom?
If yes, choose sites 1 or 12 to be near our bathhouse or sites 5 &10 to be near our outhouse.

Do you want a more private site?
If yes, choose a site in our North Loop, the sites are a bit more wooded and there is more space in between. These are sites 14-25.
If no, choose sites in our smaller Lake Loop for a more social space.

Are you bringing an ATV/UTV?
If yes, please consider a site in the North Loop. The sites are a bit larger, which allows easy parking of the ATV/UTV when out of the toy hauler - also easy unloading/loading. Sites 14 & 25 have easy access to the main driveway in and are right across from each other if you're travelling with another ATV group.

Want to be near the playground or sports field?
Choose any site on the inside side of the Lake Loop 8-12 or sites 15, 16 & 19 in the North Loop.

Are you traveling with group where some people have RVs and a friend or family member who needs or prefers a cabin?
If yes, then choose site 12, it's right next to our Park Model Cabin, the Lakeview Retreat. That way, everyone is right near by.

Which site is the quietest?
First off, we are not a "party campground" and we do strictly enforce quiet hours at 10pm. With that said, the campground is only as quiet as your fellow campers. Additionally, we have no control over the other lake residents - outside of the campground. Sound travels far along the lake, so if you want a quiet night, I would recommend a site out in our North Loop. Trust me, you'll still hear the loons, they are really loud, but you'll get less noise from your fellow campers.

Do you have other considerations?
Send me an email with your question and I'll add it to the list with my recommended sites.
Again, I look forward to hosting you this summer and I wish you the best summer vacation you could have in the Northwoods!
